The Mosby – Saunders Canada Book Award for Entering the Profession of Nursing
Sponsored by the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association
Mosby and Saunders are two of the most recognizable imprints associated with nursing texts and reference books. We are part of Elsevier, the world’s leader in health science publications. We are committed to publishing a broad spectrum of the highest quality resources for health science professionals.
Established in 2002, the Mosby – Saunders Canada Book Award for Entering the Profession of Nursing will be awarded annually to the first year student nurse who submits the best essay (500 words) prepared around the following topic: Why I chose to study the profession of nursing.
The award: $1000 (based on publisher’s suggested list price) in books published by Mosby and or Saunders, to be chosen by the winner from our online catalogue of Nursing titles.
Eligibility: Entrants must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate nursing program at a Canadian university or college and be in their FIRST year of the program.
Selection Process: Essays should be submitted by November 10 of the award year to the Canadian Student Nurses Association by email: vp@cnsa.ca.
The Executive of the Canadian Nursing Students’ Association will choose 5 finalists and forward those essays to Elsevier Canada for final selection of the winner.
Book Awards
Elsevier Canada offers book awards to several institutions to help students meet their full potential. Each institution determines the winner of our book award, and we provide the student with a gift certificate up to a value of $200 and allow them to redeem it on a book of their choice.
